Out of Touch
Thailand is too terrific, I LOVE this place! But now, I'm about due for some solid practice time. Before I head over to Koh Samui to secure the location for the Tai Chi in Thailand program, I’m going to take ten days to do a Vipassana Silent Seated Meditation intensive in a Buddhist Monastery. That said, I’ll be out of touch for the next little bit.

Today is May Day.. China's biggest travel holiday - and Wudang is PACKED. My bagua master, Ming Shifu just left.. my dear friend Herry will be here tomorrow.. Michael Winn and Mantak Chia are coming 40 deep next week.. and my buddy Steph is coming right after that. BUSY BUSY.

Today, I head back to Wudang after a week of business in Beijing. This will be a busy month of hosting, touring, and producing - I won't even have much time for practice. From there, I'm back out into the world to wander.

Wandering Taoist
I thought getting back home to the Wu would mean that I could finally take a break and rest, but I've been so swamped. While here, I am training full time, teaching massage to a big group of students, meeting with government officials, planning for the Healing Tao - China Dream Tour next month, and working out details for all the upcoming tours over the next two years.
Then there is travel.. I have to go to Ping Ding Shan in Henan tomorrow, Beijing city in ten days, Emei Shan in Chengdu after that, and then it's off to Thailand to kick off the summer, fall, and winter tours.
Goodness!!!
Well, expact lot's of good photos at least.

Spring has Sprung
I am officially back in Wudang and back to full time practice. It hurts so good! Expect bucket loads of motivational blog droppings and tons of new pics. This will likely be my only time in the Wu this year, so I'll be making this trip count.
On a side note, big love to my brother Kyle that just got a new baby girl. He's a daddy!

Going Back to China
As much as I hate the funk and filth of the middle kingdom, I am hurting for some solid practice time back in Wudang. I miss my master, and I miss my martial family. Mmm, it will be so nice to get back.
Wudang Mountain, here I come.
Before I go though, I want to send a quick THANK YOU to my EU crew. Jana, Ota, Bo, Hana, Jarda, Marty, and all my students in the Czech Republic. Maria, Mattias, Henrik, and everyone in Sweden. Ahh, after Friday's strength and flexibility training and yesterday's Wudang Kung Fu Fundamentals course, I am all done with my second Euro Teaching Tour. I'll have two days off, and then it's back to Wudang by way of Shanghai. So concludes another amazing trip to the EU.
Once back in China, I'll be busy once more with the upcoming China Dream Tour with the Healing Tao Team all while trying to find some time for my personal practice which, consequently, has been lacking amidst all this travel. From there, once summer hits, I'm looking at Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Europe again, and then it's back home to the states for the Fall. Wanna catch up? Better book me in advance, I'm only getting busier.

All done with the Czech leg of my tour.. next stop is Sweden by way of car and boat. The original idea was to drive through Germany and Denmark, but it looks like we will take the direct route instead of the scenic road.

There is likely going to be a stop over in Thailand at some point, and there is the strong possibility of a return to the states sometime around the fall.. maybe even Hawaii again! Last year, I was given two Daoist alchemical charts as a gift. One, the Neijing Tu, is very famous, as it depicts a beautiful and elaborate landscape that obviously reflects the body's energetic processes. The other, however, the Xiuzhen Tu, is a bit more intense and no where near as common. That said, I sought to discover what the Xiuzhen Tu meant, and I stumbled upon a nice PDF translation that I have now made available for you all in my download section.

The swine flu, or 'zhu flu' as we call it here, has caused an international scare. Sadly, it has postponed the upcoming production of a National Geographic shoot here until next month. Luckily, I'm still listed as a production assistant and will likely get some air time as well!

I GOT MY VISA!
Visas have always been an issue for foreign students here in Wudang, especially for Americans, but today is a day of firsts. I am the first foreigner PERIOD to receive a 6 month visa with a single entry privilege here in Wudang! Miraculously, the funds were created just in time and everything worked out.
